The following Show Report Photo Gallery of the 26th Annual East Coast Toy Soldier Show (The Hackensack Show) appeared in the Winter, 2009 issue of Old Toy Soldier
The 26th Annual East Coast Toy Soldier Show and Sale – Hackensack, New Jersey organized with precision by Bill Lango takes place on the first Sunday in November each year. The show always attracts a large crowd and this year’s attendance was no exception. Despite some jitters in the financial market, sales were reported to be as good as ever. The expression “walked in the door” not only refers to those collectors who attend, but can also be attributed to items that unexpectedly are brought in by members of the public wishing to sell as well as buy. The photos below show three such rare pieces that “walked in the door” a previously unknown Britains Aircraft prototype in original plain factory sample box, a rare Britains Farm Cardboard back drop and display #67F with original box and a very unusual set of 60 mm German made Infantry of the Line Band, circa 1890 contained in an original box obviously made in France by an as yet unknown company.
